Bryan was born twenty nine years ago in Derby. Upon finishing grade and junior high, he entered Naugatuck High School. Coming from a musical family it was natural for him to join the chorus. He also played baseball and soccer, graduating in 1993.

At the ripe old age of nine he became a member of the Waterbury/Derby Chorus. This followed in the Ranno family tradition since his grandfather and an uncle had also sung with that chorus, and of course his Dad was a current member. Bryan continued singing with the Waterbury Chorus for nineteen years. While growing up he had a slight problem with his hearing.

To compensate, his Dad would sing lightly in his ear. This certainly must have helped make a difference, because he has a wonderful lead voice. Music interpretation is high on his list of talents. On occasion our director puts him out in front, facing the members so we can observe his body movements and facial expressions as he interprets the song we are learning. Along with all of his musical ability he has listened to countless hours of his Dads quartet singing, So in 2004 when Byran joined us he quickly became an asset as well as a treasured member of the Connecticut Yankee Chorus.
